The Purgatorian Collection

The Amber Spyglass

I finally finished the third book of the “His Dark Materials” triology by Phillip Pullman. While the first book was amazing, the second was good, the third and last one was not as good. The third book does have a strong middle portion which keeps you hanging and excited but once it gets to the last 100 pages you feel a sense of confusion and disappointment, how can such a good story end this way?

Well time for me to start looking for new books to read.

:P I can give you a list of books. Not sure you’ll enjoy any of them though. And I shouldn’t be commenting here as I haven’t read the first of the series yet, but life is tough, my darling Purg..
Oh! Read ‘Wicked’ by Gregory Maguire (McGuire?) it’s great :D
‘Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel’ sounds like a good book, though exhaustingly long (I haven’t started yet but you might want to check the reviews on Amazon)
Hmm, John Irving is good. Funny, too.
